Hoy tenemos la última reseña literaria de febrero, en este caso los alumnos del Colegio San Enrique nos presentan el libro “The black cat”, una obra literaria de John Milne y que está especialmente recomendada para alumnos de 13 y 14 años.
El proyecto Lectura en los Medios hace que los alumnos promuevan la lectura de libros de manera activa escribiendo ellos reseñas literarias que se publican en medios de comunicación como Valencia Noticias y Radio Manises. Este centro educativo, el colegio San Enrique, es uno de los colegios más innovadores a nivel educativo y ha sido reconocido por numerosos premios y concursos, logrando ser un referente educativo en Quart de Poblet y en la Comunidad Valenciana.

The black cat is a book about a detective, his name is Salahadin.
He is an inspector in the Egyptian police and his job is to protect Egyptian antiquities. He is waiting for an archeologist called Mr Pearson but he doesn’t go to his office.
Salahadin goes to Mr Pearson’s home and he discovers three boxes. He opens them and finds a map and a mystery. He thinks there is something valuable in one of the boxes but first of all he must find a murderer.
Seven men die for an antiquity. It is a black cat.

At the beginning of the story Salahadin says:
“There was a reason for Pearson’s death. Was the Black Cat the reason?
There are too many questions, thought Salahadin. I must find some answers. The answers are in the missing box and it’s probably on its way to Beirut. I’ll be there tomorrow. That is one of the most important moments in the book because the main character decides to find the answers.
The book is very interesting. The Egyptian time is quite beautiful for us. We enjoy reading the chapters and we recommend to young people who are interested in detective novels.
It isn’t easy enough because of the new words and phrases in English. We have learnt a lot of new vocabulary related to art, new places and Egyptian culture.
